AM Yoga
When I cannot get to a Yoga class this short (20 minute) tape is very helpful.
I was especially pleased to be able to get a VCR tape since I don't have a DVD
player in my room.
I like the AM Yoga, but found the PM Yoga tape too difficult for me. Read more...

good workout but...
I consider myself an average yoga-er, but this is definately not a tape for beginners. you have to know what the poses are beforehand, as he moves from pose to pose very quickly, not really explaining how to get into some of the poses, which someone with no experience (aka beginner) would get lost. I would recommend this tape to more advanced yoga fans, as you will know most of these poses and be able to keep up. My only gripe is with his billing of this as for beginners, otherwise great workout. Read more...

Basic but excellent
This is the DVD that got me into yoga. The workout is good and isn't overly intimidating. Sara does an excellent job at explaining the poses and is wonderfully encouraging without talking down to the beginner. She reminds us that yoga is a very personal exercise and how important it is to work at our own pace. The Sun Salute extra portion is a bit more fast paced and challenging. It's great once you've gone through the more basic explanation of the postures in the first part of the dvd. The only thing I didn't like were the "for dummies" pop up alerts - totally unnecessary. I still do this dvd on occasion but tend to fast forward between moves as I don't need as much of the instruction anymore.

fun for all
My group of kids ages 6 -11 all love this video. It's a riot to see them all trying the different poses. They ask for this video on an "indoor day" when it is snowing or raining. Even the most awkward kids enjoy trying because it is very low key and presented as a learning experience. They are often surprised at what they can do!! Read more...

love it
This DVD is a great introduction into yoga. It goes through many stretches and balance poses, constantly grading them for where ever you are physically. I appreciate the modifications she uses with a chair as quickly dropping and rising to the floor is not something I do well. As i continue to use the video i can feel my ability increasing. This is not for people who have good flexibility or some yoga experience. This video is truly for the beginner, the unfit, the elderly and the plus-size. Read more...

good work out
I really like this video and all of the moves in it but it is an hour long and I don't always have that much time. It would be nice if they had a shorter version for when you are strapped for time but overall its a great yoga dvd. Read more...

The Best!
This video on Yoga is the best one I have ever seen. His voice is so soothing and the moves you do are difficult enough for most people. I just really enjoy doing this yoga video. Read more...

YAWN. Slow moving and easy.
I like yoga as a way to stretch and feel invigorated. I don't like yoga that's sappy ("imagine your baby is enjoying this practice as much as you are") or too slow. I really didn't like this dvd.
It's just... easy. I'm sure this is fine for ladies coming to yoga for their first time, but as someone who's pretty active, this practice just didn't challenge me at all. I also found the inward-looking sappy new age stuff got old fast. The one strong point, though, was that it does demonstrate three separate ways to do the poses, so less flexible people could look at the 3rd trimester version for help. But I'm in my 3rd tri and had no trouble doing almost all of it with the 1st trimester version. It's just that easy.
A great alternative that I later purchased and LOVE is the Complete Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga & Short Forms 2 DVD Set. It's the exact opposite- fast moving, keeps your attention. Read more...
